Wormhole Moon Update – My Why#John Williams | September 5, 2017
It has been a while since I have posted an article so here it is. I have been working hard on the second book of the “Wormhole Moon” series. The book is now at 62K words and counting. I am very proud of the content, and I trust all of my readers will enjoy it. I am shooting for a November launch date. Additionally, I am working with the award winning screenplay writer Nicholas Harold Potter on developing a screenplay for a film. It is inspiring, and I look forward to an outstanding product. I want to offer something unique to a producer that he/she can get their teeth into.
Recently while taking a writing break, I had the opportunity to watch one of my favorite Sci-fi films, “Transformers – Revenge of The Fallen.” In most films nowadays, they include interviews with the Producer, Director, actors, etc. I do not usually watch those but this time I did. Michael Bay is one of my favorite movie directors, and I wanted to hear what his process was and his method for making movies. I was amazed at his process and dedication to his craft. I was even more surprised at the revenue of the film, a whopping worldwide revenue of $709M dollars.
The work and process to produce any film can seem like a daunting task. However, for me, it is not the movie or the revenue that drives me but a certain task that I feel that I have been given. Up until now, I have shared my dream with a few and have never posted it publicly until now. My dream is to build and fund a children’s hospital in Asia that can meet the serious needs of the poor at no cost.
My daughter Eliana is 14 years old now. When she was an infant, she needed an AV Canal repair on her heart. We were fortunate to have health care that paid the cost of the repair. Of course, there were other costs. Thanks be to God, our costs were covered as well. I have traveled to Asia many times, and I saw and heard the needs of children that have no hope. There are children with the same and other needs all over the world that do not have access to the kind of care my Eli received. That said, and with God’s help, I would like to try to do something to change this. Some might say, why Asia? We have many needs right here. That is true, and our country is replete with many services and charities that meet those needs. In countries like the Philippines, Viet Nam, etc. there are minimal or no such resources at all. This is a task that has been placed on my heart and in my spirit. I will do my best to achieve it in my lifetime with God’s help.
In closing, your support of my books, films, and other projects to be announced will ultimately help me to achieve my stated goal. I thank you all for your support. I will post updates as to my progress and would appreciate your prayers as I proceed.
